In 2018 Corona Church leaders and covenant partners discerned the Lord leading us to plant a new church at the corner of 8th and Downing to reach a new generation of people. Revs. Katie and Chuck Fowler were called as church planters and co-lead pastors of Corona. In the summer of 2019, they moved into the Cap Hill neighborhood, settling into an apartment a few blocks from the church. Nova Church (Nova is “Latin” for “new”) began to take root. Nova’s worship gathering began on Sunday, March 21, 2021. For the past 5 years, the Nova community has gathered on Sunday nights at 5 p.m. God has been at work. Nova Church began with a core team of 15 people and now there are over a 100 people who are part of the community. Praise God!

Last summer, the leaders of Corona and Nova discerned the Lord’s leading to begin a new Sunday morning worship service together and come together as one worshipping congregation. We will continue to have a 5 p.m. worship gathering as well.

We would really appreciate your prayers for the start of this new service. We are so excited for all the Lord has in store! God has been so faithful to us as a church! Corona began in 1904. We celebrate 122 years of God’s kindness to us!
